So my 940 should be coming soon;

CPU: Intel Core i7 940 2.93 GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte X58A-UD5
GPU: Keeping my old 4890 (would like to get a 470 or Crossfire with another 4890)
CPU cooler: Thinking another Scythe Mugen 2 rev b or another H50, or that Hyper 212+
RAM: Either 6 GB G. Skill DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 1.65v triple channel memory or 6 GB Dominators 8-8-8-24 (60 dollar price difference though ><)
HDD: Intel X-25M 40 GB SSD or OCZ Vertex 60 GB SSD with 1 TB Caviar Black for programs
Case: Keeping my old Lian Li PC A70 full tower
PSU: Keeping my old Cooler Master Silent PRO M 1000 watt modular psu

I considered the 40 GB Intel SSD but the write speeds were some balls, 70 mb/sec? We have a 30 GB OCZ Vertex on sale for 60 bucks at my work, and that's half the price the X-25M 40 GB Intel SSD is going for..and it's like 250 read/160 write.

Tsunade go for the Vertex. Even though 60GB is still a little too small for comfort. I personally have a 120GB Vertex SSD with the OS + programs + 3 or 4 steam games at a time. With all my videos, music and huge shit on the hard drives.

But yeah it depends on what you're going to do really (or how you plan on dividing the space)

Heh well I bought the OCZ 30 GB Vertex from work.

Just going to install Windows 7 HP x64 on it, it's around 20 GB and have all my programs and data on 2 separate drives.

Don't have a camera right now, and using stock cooling (Megahalems isn't in yet).

It's not even that:

I have another Quad core system with 4 GB RAM and a normal HDD and before Windows 7 is responsive takes about 2 minutes.

With an SSD, Windows FROM start, not from POST is responsive average around 13-14 seconds. Huge difference. The best upgrade to your computer for around 100 bucks.

What's gay is Windows Experience Index only gives the 30 GB SSD a 6.8 WEI...so that's still the limiting factor in my system. I guess I'll have to put 2 of them in RAID 0 lol
